The Silversmith is an unmistakable women’s style born from boots that were originally built for farm fields and blacksmith workshops. The modern Silversmith combines materials and construction that create rugged durability and beautiful styling. The 7-inch boot is built with premium Red Wing leather, held together with exceptionally durable Puritan triple-stitch construction. The Silversmith is fully resoleable thanks to a three-quarter Goodyear welt, and a Vibram® 430 Mini-lug outsole provides trustworthy all-season traction.

ABOUT GOODYEAR LEATHER WELT CONSTRUCTION

Goodyear Welt construction is the pinnacle of shoe-making. The Silversmith is constructed by attaching a welt, a thin piece of leather, to the bottom edge of the upper leathers. Both pieces are
further connected to a canvas rib cemented to the bottom of the insole. The rib leaves a small cork-filled cavity to give a breathable and malleable bottom filler. With the welt fully secured to the upper leather and insole, the midsole is stitched onto the welt with rand and “Nail Seat” construction.

ABOUT VIBRAM® 430 MINI-LUG OUTSOLES

The Vibram® 430 Mini-Lug provides traction across daily terrains. From the side, shoes appear flat, similar to archival designs that once used leather outsoles. With the increased technology offered with the Vibram® outsole, the same style is achieved but with desired traction for today’s daily necessities.
